Every saxophone we assess gets a rating out of 5 stars, calculated from a proprietary grid of five criteria. It isn’t an average of opinions scraped online: it’s the result of a structured evaluation combining manufacturer specifications, the field experience of saxophonists and our own expertise.<\/p>\n

The overall score is the weighted sum of these five criteria, rounded to one decimal and shown in stars.<\/p>\n

Our sources<\/h2>\n

Our assessments rest on three pillars: the official technical specifications<\/strong> from manufacturers, the synthesis of saxophonists’ feedback<\/strong> (specialist forums and communities \u2014 always reworded, never reproduced), and our own experience<\/strong> of wind instruments.<\/p>\n

When the available data isn’t enough to assess a criterion reliably, we’d rather give no score than an unfounded figure.<\/p>\n
